Almost 30 years of services to customers

Sporadic difficulties experienced in obtaining the necessary spare parts from the automatic lathe manufacturers
made the company's management decide to manufacture these by themselves, so as to provide a better customer service.
This was how ATS developed into a broadly-based company.
The year 1988 marked a change in the clientele's requirements. CNC technology was replacing cam-controlled machines in some areas.
At the same time the company was restrucured. The overhauling department was hived off and transformed into an independent company
with the intention to find a suitable buyer. In 1992 this company was then sold.

The years of recession from 1991 to the present day were a great challenge that called for a lot of endurance and innovation.
January 1, 1997, was a turning point for the company. After competing with one another for many years,
AUTOMATEN TECHNIK AG and TORNOS-BECHLER SA cooperated by creating a joint subsidiary
to handle the spare parts business for cam controlled single spindle lathes.
AUTOMATEN TECHNIK AG wanted from this moment on to concentrate on the sale of automatic lathes
and tool machines as well as the service on bar feeders.
1999 / 2000
The attention will be directed mainly to the supply of CNC-machines.
Also, on a smaller scale, the overhauling of lathes has been added to the program.
The prognosis for the future, based on the effects of the globalisation of the markets,
requests an intensification in the dynamic of the managment as well as a higher cadence on innovations.
AUTOMATTEN TECHNIK AG will accept the challenge and is confident,
to solve the manifold of tasks of today and of the future.
